beta blockers reow

Has my internet ever been slower? urgh i dont even know if it has the capacity to upload this (yes its being that slow) it has been an hour and it has only downloaded .6MBs lol. and no im not capped.

Anyways its friday. apparently its more effective to study classes as opposed to seperate drugs because itll be easier to learn more drugs at once and to remmeber side effects and MOA.

before i begin, might i also add that my download has been declared 'interupted'. the internet lord himself must be so exasperated he finds it useless for my internet to go on.

but anyways, ive decided to start easy with BETA-BLOCKERS. They are used for hyptertension and heart failure. lol those two lovebirds always go hand in hand. also for angina (stable and unstable), arrhythmias and glaucoma. on a related note, unstable angina is labelled for instances where angina attacks are longer than 15 mins, happen suddenly at rest or worsen. my oh my.
by blocking these beta receptors, catecholamines like adrenaline and noradrenaline can't exhibit their effects.
our beta blockers are hte drugs that end in 'lol' - definitely not a lol matter however (that was a bad joke). we have atenolol, bisoprolol, cavedilol, metoprolol, proponolol and sotalol just to name a few.
MOA
beta blockers block beta receptors (the name is a dead giveaway). its antihypertensive effect results from the decreased cardiac output without the increase in peripheral vascular resistence.its antianginal effect is due to a reduction of the left ventricular (pumps oxygenated blood to aorta) work which decreases the use of oxygen and heart rate + contractablity.
beta1 selective blockers have higher affinity for b1 receptors in heart and less so for b2 receptors in bronchi and peripheral blood vasculature (the fancy way of saying blood vessels, geez so fancy). the selective affinity however decreases with increasing doses. the b1 selective blockers are atenolol, bisoprolol, metoprolol and nebivolol. i remember it as NAB+M. all else the AMH has is non selective. (if only i knew this for my pharmacology exam)
carvedilol and labetalol also have some alpha1-blocking ability which provide extra arterial vasodilating action.
oxeprenalol and pindolol have some sympathomimetic activity. that means that in high doses, it exhibits effects of bronchodilation, increased blood pressure and pulse, but apparently the effects are 'limited' thank you mr wiki. they are basically partial agonists.
sotalol is particularly used for its antiarrthymetic effects.
PREEEEEEECAUTIONS
betablockers mask signs of hypoglycaemia  (tachycardia, tremor). it can also cause hypoglycaemia if it blocks B2 receptors cause B2 is responsible for stimulating glycogen breakdown in the liver so if it can't, obviously you get low blood glucose levels. B1 blockers mask tachycardia though, so always be careful in patients with diabetes!
drugs that cause bradycardia can also drastically decrease heart rate and cause hypotension
beta blockers may alsso impair peripheral circulation which can lead to Raynaud's phenomenom which is when the ends of fingers and toes discolour from lack of circulation.
in renal impairment, use a beta blocker that is predominantly eliminated hepatically. so avoid atenolol mate.
in hepatic impairment, use atenolol. otherwise, reduce dose.
if you've had surgery, there is an increased risk of bradycardia and hypotension, but even so you don't just suddenly stop taking it
ADVERSE EFFECTS
nausea (lol why does eveyrthing come with the risk of nausea), diarrhoea (this too), bronchospasm, dizziness.
carvedilol and labetalol (the mixed blockers) also pose a risk of orthostatic hypotension. dunno wth that is. hypotension in your foot? LOL. oh its the complete opposite. its wheen you get dizzy spells becuase your blood pressure drops when you stand up etc cause its all pooled down the bottom somewhat.
carvedilol also may cause oedema as a side effect. this carvedilol doesn't seem too sweet.
labetalol may also make your scalp tingle but its not common. lavetalol doesn't sound nice either.
COMPARISONSS
so the beta-1 selective ones would have less side effects because its cardioselective.
less lipid soluble ones (atenolol and bisprolol) are less likely to cross the BBB and give you nightmares (literally)
COUNSELLING
you may feel dizzy and tired when you first begin or increase your dose :) if you find this is so, do not drive or operate machinery. it will also help to get up slowly or try lying down to minimise the effect
don't stop taking this medication suddenly unless your doc gives you the okay. stopping abruptly may worsen angina, cause rebound hypertension etc. (the dose is usually reduced over at least 2 weeks. if you've used it for years though, it will be 4-6 weeks. if you've been taking it for heart failure, halve dose each week. )
with metoprolol  CR tablets, it is ok to break them , just don't crush or chew.

maaate, that was not easy.

BR: Queen Kat, Carmel & St Jude Get a Life! - Maureen McCarthy

You know the book is a guaranteed good read when the author's name is much larger than the title itself. A McCarthy classic, what could possibly go wrong? Her name is like a stamp saying 'Read me, I won't disappoint' (if you fit her target audience..)
Teenage Australian girl who's been through high school/growing up/going through a phase? Then this book is for you!
This novel is basically about three teenage girl who have just received their year 12 ENTER/ATAR results and are about to embark on a journey into university. More nerve-racking than that is that they must all move away from their home town, into the city and create a new life for themselves. They all end up commuting in the same house which is how their fates intertwine etc you get the gist.
Admittedly, my own transition into university was very anti-climatic, but the change these girls go through resonates within you regardless. It's a lot about change, and finding your feet and where you fit into this giant puzzle that is society. If you're cringing at the thought of having to read about university/school, don't worry. This book isn't all 'Omg that tute was so boring' or 'Today, I got up early to attend my prac', university isn't really the central issue at hand. It revolves more around these girls maturing and 'coming of age'.
It is told through three personalities;
Queen Kat - Katerina- is a gorrrgeous girl from a rich family who is suddenly thrown into a bustling city where she finds that her beautiful face gets her places, gets her popular, and gets her used.
Carmel is your country bumpkin who meets the city of Melbourne for the very first time. She battles issues with lack of self confidence, uncertainty for the future and her size 18+ body (which she hates).
St Jude is a passionate, fiery girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. We see her fight her personal battles and come to terms with her family history.
We basically see these three girls learn about themselves and blossom and become young women who are proud and optimistic about their future :D.

I know it sounds very cliche. And it kind of is. But in that good way? These characters are cliche in the kind of way where they are the ones who set the standard for the cliche in the first place? Like how Dracula isn't your 'typical' vampire, he's the standard set for vampires! He's what you would compare other vampires to.
Likewise, these characters are one of the finest set of your contemporary teenage girls. :) I may be a bit biased in my opinion. But I refuse to see it any other way.

The writing was very straight forward. What you see is what you get. The apple fell onto the floor. NOT the succulent ripe, red apple plummeted from the mahogany table, landing graciously onto the tiled floor. None of that bullshit. Which is perfectly okay in setting the tone.

The characters are lovely. I don't really love them as people, because I didn't really find anything particularly extraordinary about them, but I really do adore and envy their relationship with each other. They're all like a perfect relationship stepped out of matchmaker.com. It's also very real, in that its relatable; that process of forming a friendship bond that will last a long time. *sigh, cups cheeks, smiles*

I'd read it previously about 8 years ago. Back then, I'd loved it. LOOOOVED it. The idea of growing up! Entering university and worrying about adults things! Like money and jobs and love and lectures! Reading it now makes me feel very sentimental and awwww and OLD. It's the strangest feeling! Reading a book you used to find awe-inspiring only to find that the feeling is now replaced with nostalgia and understanding.

This book is said to be her bestseller, with a TV show inspired from it as well. I don't find this her best book, simply because there wasn't anything stand-outish about it, but it is still a book worth keeping in your heart because the emotional journey is so precious! (I'm sorry I sound so soppy)
It's an easy read of 445 pages and divided into 5 parts. I also want to mention, in the latest publication that I had purchased, the chapter print is soooo pretty. It has like the chapter number in a really chill CAPS LOCKED print, and surrounding it is the stain from a cup of coffee. If that makes sense. Like, it has that ring of a coffee cup around the chapter number. Which looks really cool. And is appropriate. It looks beautiful. It's like art! And the cover has the cup of coffee too, and The Age (although they hid it) and cake! Like its from some scene in a Melbourne cafe somewhere. Ah so cool. It's like a whole set of something.
But anyways, yes.

Digoxin

It's AMH Friiiiiiday.
I've decided to learn more about digoxin toonight.
it's an anti-arrhythmic for heart failure and tachy-arrhythmias (abnormal heart rate).
i dont really understand what the AMH is trying to say under MOA, but i believe it blocks the Na+/K+ ion pump leading to aaa buildup of Na+ in the cell leading to excitability? But it can also slow heart rate through vagotonic activity (hyperexcitablity of vagus nerve)
it is renally cleared, so alter dose if you have renal failure. reduce dose in elderly too. its cat A and can be used for fetal arrhythmia as well. ok for breastfeeding too.
digoxin can have series side effects and can also worsen arrhythmia. its a drug of narrow therapeutic range.
some common side effects: anorexia, nausea, comiting, diarrhoea and visual disturbances. you can also get nightmares, dizziness and depression.
dosing is tailored according to renal function and drug monitoring is required. In adults with normal renal function: loading is 250 - 500 mcgs e/ 4-6 hours with a max of 1.5mg. For maintenance, dose is decreased to 125 - 250 mcgs once daily.
Digoxin 62.5 mcg tablets are for the renally impaired and for the elderly for maintenance.

When first starting on the course, it may take 5 days to reach a steady state. digoxin's half life is 36 hours. The therapeutic range of digoxin is .5 - 2 mcg/L but your toxic effects occur in that range as well. You get anorexia at around 1mcg/L and nausea from 1.8mcg/L etc.
In heart failure with sinus rhythm, consider lowering the therapeutic range to .5-.8mcg/L because it has been found that higher concentrations can lead to hospitalisation and mortality. Can i just say, wth is sinus rhythm? i looked it up and its basically the medical term for heart beat, but are they talking about abnormal or normal rhythm in this case?
It takes 4-6 hours for onset of effect after initial dosing.
if the patient takes another arrhythmic agent, reduce and stop digoxin if possible once they are stable.
in children, any arrythmetic effects during the course of digoxin is suspected to be because of digoxin until proven otherwise. GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENTTTT? :O I WONT STAND FOR THIS *war cry*

BR: One Day - David Nicholls

'''Live each day as if its your last', that was the conventional advice, but really, who had the energy for that?'

This story was so endearing. It follows the lives of 2 people, Dexter and Emma, two atypical friends fresh out of university/college.
So for over 20 years, we see what happens on the same day each year for these two characters and the dynamics of their relationship etc.
My heart is broken!! Ripped from my chest!! Have I ever cried so many tears?!! This novel deserves all the praise it gets. I love it so much, it's so precious.
Admittedly, the first quarter of the book I found a bit difficult to see significance in because nothing worthy of mention actually happens. And Dexter was a d*ck. But the book was written so well and there were so many witty lines that I persisted and I reckon this book will sit in my heart forever (correction: until I die).

It begins with a one-night-stand that doesn't quite fall through between Emma and Dexter on the night of their graduation. Uncharacteristically, Dexter is drawn to Emma and the two end up keeping in contact and staying friends as he wanders the world while she falls into an unsuccessful heap working full-time in a run down 'cafe'. Emma is, of course, secretly smitten by his boyish looks and charms but he's too busy being horny. And year and year, things happen, their lives change etc and they drift apart but somehow stay as best friends.

This book was full of quotables. The jokes and snide remarks were literally laugh out loud. They tickle my fancy just right.

''So are you interested in the job or not?'
'You mean to say-' She placed her hand on a twenty-litre tub of Thousand Island Dressing '-all this could one day be mine?''

And Dex and Em are so adorable when he's not a d*ck. I just adore every moment they have together. I also just want to type up the entire book here. But I've not enough money to face a lawsuit.
*
'Proudly, he raised himself onto one elbow. 'Actually, I prefer to think of myself as a journalist.'
Emma smiled and turned a page. 'I'm sure you do.'
'Because that's what it is, journalism. I have to research, shape the interview, ask the right questions-'
She held her chin between finger and thumb. 'Yes, yes, I believe I saw your in-depth piece on MC Hammer. Very sharp, very provoking-'
'Shut up Em-'
'No, seriously, the way you got under MC's skin, his musical inspirations, the trousers. It was, well, untouchable.'
He swatted at her with his book. 'Shut up and read, will you?'
He lay back down and closed his eyes. Emma glanced over to check that he was smiling, and smiled too. ' pg. 79
*

And I love the characters. Even the highly annoying ones. I especially love Emma. She's an aspiring author who basically spends her youth confused and unsuccessful. Dexter on the other hand, is the complete opposite, drowning in success and good looks during his younger years. These two make an odd pair, but they have such a great friendship. It's adorable. I love them :(. And they're written so well. Like, I feel like I could sit down and have a cup of coffee with them. (It might be awkward that I seem to know so much about their lives, but all good, I'll just kiss their feet while they sip their martinis [alcos])
The characters drive the story as well and they go through life lessons and pivotal changes that make us think.

And the ending kind of made the book. That climatic moment and everything thereafter. If it was any other way, I wouldn't feel this strongly about it. But it was just structured and written so well that you feel everything long after you've read it. And the entire novel just acquainted you so well with the characters that you suffer and laugh and love with them. And I like how the end takes us back to the beginning and takes the story to full flight and that light bulb goes off in your head and you realise it was special from the very start. If that makes sense.

Lol sorry everything sounds all over the place and I haven't actually said anything worthwhile. I find it much easier to talk about a crappy book than a book I love and respect. There's only so much you can say without giving it away! And you can't really convey much that will jump out at someone who hasn't read the book except READ IT! And if you have, agree with me that it's so charming and wonderful and brilliant and emotional and funny and dramatic etc. ;)

telmisartan and amlodipine

hi blog, how are you? im good thanks.

today i've decided to learn about Micardis.
dispense it heaps but all i know is that its an antihypertensive. because the packet says so.
ok so the active ingredient is telmisartan, from the class of 'Sartans'. its an angiotensin II, and its receptor AT1, antagonist. they dont stop breakdown of bradykinin.
its dosing is usually 40mgs d but that can be increased to 80mg. For prevention of heart failure in >55y/o, you can give 80mgs. For those with hepatic impairment, stick to 40mg. its Cat D.
you can get telmisartan in combination with amlodipine (5 or 10mg) or hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 or 25 mgs).
the telmisartan in combination with amlodipine is your Twynsta, and Micardis Plus is the one with hydro..chlorothiazide.
side effects: dizziness (so get up slowly when taking it), headache, hyperkalaemia (avoid K supplements unless medically advised), be careful of renal impairment
you get the full therapeutic effect after 4-6 weeks. if the treatment is found to be inadequate, it is better to add a second antihypertensive than to increase the dose.

and since we're on it, Amlodipine. Calcium channel blocker. so it blocks Ca2+ from entering the cell, mainly in vascular smooth muscle. Calcium channel blockers are used for hypertension and angina.
some Side effects: flushing, headache, rash, peripheral oedema
dosing for >6y/o: 2.5 - 5 mg d then increase over 1-2 weeks to 10mgs. 2.5mg d for the elderly with hepatic impairment. i dont think theres a company that actually manufactures 2.5mg amlo tho? :S
you can combi it with your telmisartan anddd atorvastatin and perindopril. the telmisartan with atorvastation is your Caduet. in that, the amlodipine component comes in either 5 or 10mg. i dont know why youd put a statin with amlo though :( amh doesnt say but i assume its to prevent stroke or something? maybe?

City Hunter

So i finally watched it after the hype is long gone. It was actually pretty good! i liked the storyline of it all (although it was somewhat predictable, but what kdrama isnt?).
but because im feeling shitty, why not focus on what made city hunter shitty?

What bugs me TO NOOOO END, is how in kdramas, THEY NEVER SAY BYE IN PHONE CALLS :( Like i can understand its to keep the drama moving, but stilllll, im always left wondering how they know when to hang up and what if there was somethign else to say. Especially in the mellow moments of the drama, IT DOES NOT HURT TO AT LEAST SAY 'IM HANGING UP NOW, LATERS'. That was only said ONCE. :( NOT LIKE YOU'RE IN A RUSH TO KEEP PONDERING ABOUT HOW THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE LOOKED AT YOU

The cliches. i understand thats what kdramas stand for, but mannnnn, im so tired of them. this was the reason i stopped watching them in the first place. Your typical korean drama consists of:
SLOWWW pacing, then random unnecessary FASSST pacing

a doe-eyed, pale girl who has no flaws. Her parents are either dead or very poor.
a tall, handsome man who's rude to everyone but that girl (someone remind me how that's attractive?)

a lot of events which lead to the demise of the beautiful girl, but WAIT, the handsome tall broody man comes to the rescue. Even in dramas where the girl can supposedly take care of herself, she ends up a pitiful heap. crying from one eye.

i find the male protagonists SOOOO annoying now. theyre kinda CREEPY. who the fuck spends time outside the girl's house (edward aside) just WATCHING THE LIGHTBULB. and he spends AGESSSS AND DAYS AND GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH TIME, just STARING at a ring he wants to give the girl just as a PRESENT, and 20 episodes later he still hasnt == its okay if he's playing a 17y/o, but he's meant ot be like what 25+? calm down.
LOL and it was really funny cause there was this scene where the girl is trapped in a fish tank (i can complain about that too) and he arrives at the scene. he sees her dying and instead of running to find a way to save her. he full taps on the massively thick glass and goes 'NaNa..NaNA...are you okay? I'll save you! Hold on! *insert another paragraph*" visual observation will tell you that 1. she's not okay, she's drowning 2. whispering through like.. a 1 meter thick glass will not save her and 3. obviously she's doing her best to hold on you prick.
Lol which makes me question, why the fuck did the villian randomly decide to drown her in an aquarium. YOU HAVE A GUN, JUST SHOOT HER. or if you're using her as hostage, at least choose a place that actually makes sense. (and what kind of aquarium is vacated during daytime?)

the lack of attention to detail. Especially in a drama consisting of action. my god the number of times i mentally questioned how the fuck shit happened...RUINS MY IMMERSION BIG TIME. and the sequences are good and all, but you question the common sense of the characters. like this scene where the fucking policital leader is dangling off a bridge about to die, you see all these cars just drive past as if all's good int he hood. SOMEONE CALL SOMEONE MAYBE? like DUHH?

and the police force in the drama seem to be daft. They full stress out about finding the DNA of the city hunter after suspecting the main guy (forgot his name), but they dont think to collect the DNA at his fucken workbench where he taps away at his keyboard ==. They visit the place too and stand tehre all 'OMG HOW WILL I COLLECT YOUR PRECIOUS DNA' == how about you collect a punch to the face.

and the city hunter looks so silly running around in designer bright clothing. i remmebr this scene where he full does his shit in this hotel or some shit and he's wearing a red..whatever (you know how crazy male fashion can get) and the people chasing him cant find him ==. AND in the scene where jong shik or whatever was dying, the prosecutor saw the city hunter. THE SAME DAY, the main guy rocks up in the same outfit, AND NO ONE QUESTIONS HIM. I sighed with fucken relief when they finally decided they just didn't have enough evidence to frame him.

i did not feel the love between the two main characters. like, it was there, but it was irritating. cause the guy spends 20 episodes going all 'NO FORGET ME MY LOVE' to 'STAY WITH ME, DONT GO MY LOVE' to 'FUG OFF MATE' to 'WAIT FOR ME MY LOVE' like far out someone punch him. i can see in his situation why loving her is an issue, but tone it down after a few eps because it gets soo draining. like herreee weeeee gggooooo aaaggggaaiiiiiin.

other than that, city hunter was lovely. i enjoyed watching it. and it had considerable quantities of originality. My love for minho was momentarily rekindled, but now ive returned to the land of mehs.

BR: The Convent - Maureen McCarthy

Hi blog, McCarthy released a new book! To be honest, when I first saw it, I was just like 'aw I remember adoring her novels', but that was it. But then recently, out of desperation to have a new novel in my hands, I decided to open up to her again. I didn't think I would enjoy an author who I liked as a year 8-9 girl. But I wasss wrong.
The thing I love about her books is that whole coming-of-age vibe. They generally have the same skeleton - a girl with a somewhat normal life, but something is missing. And the novel takes you through that turmoil with a pleasing release at the end. You kind of feel free. The general themes revolve around family, friendship and love. And I love that by the time you finish reading, you learn that you can find happiness from the simplest things. It's almost like therapy.

The Convent was a very McCarthy-esque novel. I loved it, but I can't really tell what I love about it. The story is kind of just there, its sooo normal, and yet the simplicity is so profound. But rather than giving you vague praises, I'll tell you about the book itself.
It cuts between three POVs; Sadie, Ellen, Cecilia and Peach. I cannot even explain the story. The blurb did such a shit job..could not even get the excerpt right. Definitely not something to go by (not that my word is either). But these 4 women all have rich histories that are intertwined. Apart from maybe Peach, she's only 19.
Sadie sits at the top of the family tree, who's lifestyle results in the loss of her baby girl Ellen (to custody). Ellen then becomes part of a convent which she then leaves to have Cecilia. Cecilia then ends up becoming a nun at the convent, who then leaves and has a baby which she gives up for adoption. That baby is Peach. So yeah, they're all related.
And the story weaves through mainly Cecilia and Peach. They come to a gradual realisation that what they are missing from life, is eachother. I dunno, LOL I just summed that up so horribly. It is not a bland biscuit I swear.

The story is set in Melbourne, predominantly the Convent (figures) in Abbottsford. Currently, it serves as a cafe and chill out area etc but through Ellen and Cecilia, you learn about how nuns used to reside there. And then it became a shelter for women in need. And at one stage is was a prison? Lol I am obviously inept at history. It really struck me at first when I was in the first chapter, where the convent was described. I was like 'hey, my mum lived in a convent with some housemates and nuns when she first came here', so I asked her about it. Turns out she went to the convent this novel is about. Her time in the convent was right in between Cecilia's and Peach's time though. I asked her about her time there (not something I've ever done before) and she told me of being looked after by Sister Margaret and learning English and smuggling chickens into the convent. == (she still does that to this day, but in our backyard gawd) What she told me about the Sister really stuck with me though. It was as if she had read this book. More than anything, I found myself fascinated by the sisterhood. It was harsh, but it also seemed so...easy. My mum told me the Sister who looked after her followed this path after heartbreak. (I have not had my heart broken) but doesn't the idea of it sound so tempting? To close yourself off into a world where you don't have to sweat the small stuff, and where you're kind of bffls with all the girls there? haha. It sounds comfortable, but I'd totally be doing it for all the wrong reasons.  Now I've forgotten what I was on about.
Yes, the setting is Melbourne.

Onto the characters. Can I please smoosh up the book and shove it up my vena cava? I love them. They are so real. By real I don't mean they're so much like you and me. But they're just so down to earth and transparant (in a good way). Like, there's none of that bitchy bullshit girls (myself included) get sucked into. And they are so loyal in the simplest ways. They feel genuine care, they can sense when one's under the weather, they don't backtalk, they love each other with the entirety of their heart. It's such whole hearted friendship. There was this one scene, I don't think the author meant much about it, but I could not stop crying my arse off. Peach and Cassie had a tiff going on and a friend asked them what was up? Because we read through Peach's POV, we see her think. And I don't know how to describe this, but she just keeps all turmoil to herself without hinting Cassie's said/done anything less than favourable as if it wasn't even something to consider. Does that make sense? Like, she did not even think for a second about venting her frustration at the expense of her friend. They loved each other. I'll find the quote lol.

''What's with her?' he says under his breath when I next pass.
I shrug and smile. She might be driving me crazy, but there is no way I'm going to backbite her.' p 178.

Okay, admittedly it doesn't sound all that a="a" admired="admired" alone="alone" but="but" closeness.="closeness." dismissed="dismissed" easily="easily" how="how" i="i" matter="matter" nbsp="nbsp" no="no" p="p" party="party" really="really" she="she" so="so" standing="standing" the="the" third="third">I also love Det so much. She's awesome! I want her in my life. She needs more lines.
And of course I love Peach, she's so easy to relate to.

If I had to point a finger at anything I didn't like, it would be Sadie's story. Because her's wasn't very well developed so we're kind of left with a very generic, woeful story.
The first chapter was so descriptive I died from imagery overload. I was picturing a bowl on a hill on a cat etc etc cause everything was 'like' something. Just tell me the tree is green :( I don't need green like grass cause then I see grass on a tree instead of a GREEN TREE. (I made up that example), but either I quickly adjusted or she settled down.
I like how Fluke's just a side story. I have no care for that boy lol. Then again, I didn't find much of a chance to warm up to him. He was kind of just there. Like lots of things.

This is a really shit review, but right now, I don't have the right mind to finish it off or read over it.

Flabs at first sight

The weather was tranquil today. Perhaps the fatass has gone into a deep slumber.
Picture not to scale. (No scale can accommodate for the fatass)
Yesterday was quite the contrary, all that rain and fall!
The fatass sat by the window, with a pensive facial expression, keyboard at hand, thoughts wandering to places unexplored and wrote 'was it the weather pouring down or did a fatty I know take leap of faith into a nearby ocean?' I propose a round of applause for wit (who knew he had more than just a large appetite), but how disillusioned you are. Take a second to close your eyes..alternatively, pull down those shutter flabs on your forehead (victory victory curtains and blinds). Imagine what it would be like to leap into a deep blue sea. Now part those flabs aside like you would with curtains, and take in the scenery. It would appear that when you leaped into the ocean many years ago, you sunk to the bottom and have been rolling around ever since. Fatty boom boom is unable to float because all your body mechanisms are centered around consuming and digesting all in your path. (With that in mind, you would not have been able to see any fish or octopi at your doorstep because you have eaten the entire ecosystem). You see, between you and I, it is you who poses the bigger (note: BIGGER) threat to mankind. I'm thinking tsunamis, food shortages, durian dominance, earthquakes, the likes! But don't fret, I am positive you can benefit society in many ways. The great wall of Australia? Great Barrier Reef the Second? Mate, I could mow me crops with ya roly poly.

You aside, much thanks for recognising my 'pre cool' rendition of..whatever that thing is. You failed to mention that my artwork presented uncanny likeliness to Monet's.  The way I gradated those glasses.. it's absolutely exquisite! Oui Oui! Parfait! Soufle! I'd like to see you try.

With regards to my room, I like to think that I'm surrounded by the sun (whenever you're not covering it). And I'm quite okay with the walls. It really brings out the yellow in my skin.
I remain steady in my opinion that durians are derpy and smelly etc. But I commend you for coming to the defense of a fellow fatass. Durians in distress cannot be ignored. You gentle-fat-man. Do you take madam durian on romantic rolls across the beach? Before you submerge back into the water at night? Do you tell her she's not good enough as she is and only an ice cream will do? At least I don't lead her on! ALL THOSE NIGHTS YOU LEAVE HER ALONE. CRYING! UP IN THAT TREE! CHASITY SPIKES AND ALL. Love is pain - Big Bang

wtf am i saying, im not even pro-durian.

The Derpy Durian

Imagine being trapped in a room full of durian meat, flung all over from the ceiling to the floor. Imagine heaps of durian all up in your mouth, a slodge of yellow stink. Now that you're thoroughly grossed out, agree with me in that durians can go about staying in their natural habitat:
A free range Durian. In its natural habitat.
Note its spiky exterior, warding us off its ugly insides. Even the durian knows its sub par (or maybe its playing hard to get, but I'd go with the former).
This fatass I know describes its smell as like 'crap'. That's because that's what it is. So why bother trying to get acquainted with crap? Crap on a stick, crap in raw flesh, crap in cake...nothing changes it. Why would I spend 'years' trying to adjust to crap when I can spend years eating the best shit in the world? Durian needs to stop trying to fit in!! 'Asian tropical fruit king'? More like Asian tropical fruit jester!
This fatass also describes its smell as actually being quite 'sour' and 'concentrated sweet' :P. You know what else can be sour and sweet? Vomit. Oh, vomits yellow too. Brother of the bile?
Fatass, you are correct about the aroma that hits the consumer. But it doesn't end there. After it hits me, it kicks me, scratches me, pulls my hair, flies me to Mars and back. It's a black belt in karate.
The taste partners well with the smell. It tastes like how it smells. And it feels like regurgitated meat or something...(don't deny it). So I feel like I'm eating a baby bird's dinner.

Having said all that, I don't like being too harsh on the good ol' fat lumpy, sloppy, grumpy, gloppy, ugly, smelly durian. Fruits' friends are my friends! One thing the durian has going for it though is the affection and support of a fatass. I'm sure the duo are a force to be reckoned with. (One's smelly, one's fat, what could go wrong?)

Me? I'm more into apples, nectarines and strawberries. Cause, bery hot bery hot hot - Hyuna.

NB: I don't loathe durians with a passion. I was just inspired to put forward an opinion on durians. Complete with illustrative pictures (that speak a thousand words), punctuation, grammar and paragraphs.

Is that durian flesh or an obese maggot?

dance dance dance

yo whaddup, im back.
ive been studying and its all going good except i cant remember any drugs so its not going good. sadface. they all end in -ine :( how the hell do scientists come up with the most random names ? i get the amine bit, but the wlkrjgaiojrglreg before it? maybe just call it 'NORantagonist..ine' the rest in taht class can go by 'anonymous' :P i know i raise the most useless and stupid point ever, but a girl can dream.

i dont actually have anything to say to you blog, but i always get distracted when i go blog reading. and then i dont want to neglect you and leave so i write you a post anyway. which is why so much of my blogging is actually rambling.

anyways, i shall try to learn a drug a week, or maybe a drug a month. depends how my brain's feeling. becuase most of the time it feels empty.
Becuase the pharmacology exam is coming soon, i have picked the lovely Olanzapine. its considered a 'fast mover' where i work. so it might help to get to know it on a first name basis anyway.
from previous placement i have learnt that ittts for schizophrenia. Zyprexa mate. there are also wafers. requires monitoring.
what AMH tells me: so it can be used for bipolar disorder too.
Dosing: start at 10mg d, increasing dose by 2.5-5mg increments to 20mg d or more. im not gonna delve any deeper cause then ill forget it all.
side effects: type 2 diabetes, oedoma, sedation/delirium.
counselling: smoking cessation/commencement affects dose to tell your dr. may take 1-2 weeks for an effect but allow 2-3 months trial time. if you gain weight, check glucose tolerance.

on a side note, ive been watching random youtube videos about these two gangs. im not gonna name them cause then they might mysteriously find out and fly to my doorstep and scare the living daylights out of me. :S but they basically hate eachother and kill each other etc. you get the drill. and at first i was like, oo scary, but then its like..wtf. becuase the way they do things.. its so funny. its almost derpy. they go through so much effort to be cool. its not cool if you're trying otbe cool. and i can see their underpants LOL. and one case was talking about this robbery. the gang bosses - the leaders, spent like 3-4 weeks staking out a house. everyday, driving pass to work out the schedule ==. like come on, i do not condone robbery, but if youre gonna do it dont waste all that fuel just driving around the block. fuel is money. just park somewhere and watch.
and i find it pathetic that they use guns to show superiority. with a gun and some practice, you're not the only one who can wreck havoc. even a game of chess would be better becuase at least then you can show your strategic mastermind. but i will admit that would be a bit gay.
'yall got nothing on my bishop'
'giddy up horsey! KNIGHT TO E5 HEHEHE'

it was disturbing though to see them shoot each other so nonchalantly. at what point does shooting feel easy? does your first blood hurt your soul?  its another thing i dont understand about humans. it could be two things; too much emotion/passion, or not enough. lol what am i saying. BOOM SHAKALAKA DANCE DANCE DANCE

anyways my lovely, oyasuminasai
